One of my favorite memories growing up was when we had "restaurant night" at our house....aka clean out the fridge and eat all the leftovers night. My mother would pull out all the food and arrange it on our kitchen island and then let us "order" what we wanted to eat. There was always several vegetables and entrees to choose from and occasionally she would even put out a few desserts. We honestly loved these nights at our house and just adding that fun name seemed to make "leftover night" so much more exciting. I have now happily passed on this tradition to my own children and I love how excited they get about having our own "restaurant night". The kids honestly pester me about when restaurant night is every week. Maddie likes to practice having her best manners on these nights which is an additional bonus!
